Oh Wow! I can't believe it's been three months since I last blogged. Since Jessica left, we have been short-handed and I've been incredibly busy. But that's all changing. YEAH! We have a new producer! His name is Russ Jowell (sounds like Joel) and he's from...Texas! We'll forgive him for that (LOL). I think he is going to be a wonderful addition to our team and you'll enjoy his stories. Be watching for his first story soon.
Summer is almost here and I personally can't wait. We are vacationing in California which I have never been to so I'm really excited. Now with the high price of gas we're going to have an adventure traveling by train. I'll let you know how that goes but at least we don't have to pay for $4 gasoline along the way. I never thought I'd see the day when gas was that high. One of these days people aren't going to be able to afford to drive and you'll see cars sitting in front yards with weeds growing up around them kinda like you see in those apocalyptic films. Then there's the price of food which is going through the roof. Some are blaming if on the price of gas, some are blaming it on the use of corn for fuel but who really knows. Maybe if they didn't use fructose corn syrup in everything, the price of food might come down. They only use it instead of sugar because its cheaper. Well not anymore. Go back to sugar which is natural and better for you. Then maybe we could "lighten up" the way we eat. Okay, I'll get off my stump about the way we eat before I start lecturing to you.
A bright spot in my May, my son came home from college. (Woo Hoo, Happy Dance!) We're having to get used to each other again (LOL). He's becoming bored at home in the country because he doesn't have anything to do but work. Although there's fishing with his dad, it's not the same as being able to go next door and talk to a friend or some other campus activity. Mom just isn't the pal she was when he was little, sigh! Oh well, at least he's home and I can see his smiling face every night.
